Cooper and Riley Twin Trouble | Wellington Kids Photographer

6 year old twin boys are more fun than pigs in poo.  Had a the most entertaining time photographing Cooper and Riley.  Did you know that you can make a tale out of anything?  Even a wood chip.  And that guns can be fashioned also from anything.  Very cool and very fun.  My favourite moment I believe though was when Riley found his pet ant and named him "Rodger" ...of course.  Stay tuned their photos will be up soon.  Will be so hard to pick which one goes in the book....spoiled for choice.

Paintings in my head

Mandy wore the most amazing dress and the natural light on it was just amazing.  This is one of my favourite shots of the day.  I am contemplating blowing this up and painting it in oils....Now I just need to clone myself so that I can have time enough to do the paintings I want to do as well as photograph.

Stunning Mandy | Wellington Photographer of the Fabulous

Mandy is such a natural beauty.  Both inside and out, there is a real gentleness and elegance about her.  It was such an enjoyable photoshoot.

Lily is coming back | Wellington Family Photographer

I can't wait to see her again.  I photographed this beautiful family when Rachel was pregnant and Aaron was out of his mind excited and in love with his burgeoning new family.  When I did their pregnancy shoot I commented that I could actually feel the love emanating off of them, I really could, it was such a strange experience.  They came back to introduce me to gorgeous Lily after she was born and then again at 6 months of age.  From those shots we were able to make one of my favourite breastfeeding images I have ever created.  Have a look:
Next Week she is coming back for her Year old photographs!  How cool is that.  And I get to see Rachel and Aaron again.  I am so excited. :).

Rainy Day shoots

I have been out of town for 6 weeks and my day of shooting back was bucketing with rain.  I was about to become a bit sad but bless my stars my clients wanted to go ahead....and do you know what....they were some of my best sessions ever.  We jumped in puddles, picked dripping fruit from the trees, skimmed stones, and twirled in summer rain.  It was divine.  I was soaked to the bone by the end of it but smiling from ear to ear.  I will post some of the images up here soon.
I used to say I would photograph in everything but driving rain but i suppose I can even nix that off of my list of things I will not do now.  Becoming such a daredevil I am.

Beautiful Children Needed for Free Range Kids Book

We are looking for beautiful children to feature in our book "Free Range Kids of New Zealand".   The Free Range Kids Book is a gallery of visual poetry portraying the innocence of childhood in New Zealand.  It is about the muddy play, the stone skimming, the blueberry picking, the tidal pool exploration, twirls, and lolly scrambles.  Rolly poly's, icecream covered faces, blankies, dolls, cannon balls into a swimming hole.  It is about the magic of New Zealand and what it means to be able to be a Kiwi kid growing up in the ultimate playground in the world. There are spaces for 50 children to be photographed in this years book. The best images from the book will be selected to produce a  Free Range Kids Exhibit, and limited edition print run.  Do you want your child to be one?
